The Applied Biosystems ViiA 7 Real-Time PCR System with 384-Well Sample Block is a high-throughput qPCR platform designed to deliver exceptional performance, reliability, and flexibility for demanding research environments. Engineered with a front-access interchangeable block system, it allows for rapid block changes in under one minute without tools or disconnecting peripherals. The 384-well format supports reaction volumes from 5 to 20 µL and enables fast run times of approximately 35 minutes, making it ideal for medium- to high-throughput applications. At the core of the system is the advanced OptiFlex fluorescence detection module, featuring six independent excitation (450 - 670 nm) and six emission (500 - 720 nm) filters, offering unmatched multiplexing capabilities and precise quantification, detecting target changes as small as 1.5-fold in singleplex reactions.
The ViiA 7 System supports a fully integrated workflow, with compatibility for standard and fast 96-well plates, 384-well plates, as well as TaqMan® Array Micro Fluidic Cards, allowing users to perform hundreds of assays without the need for liquid-handling robotics. A user-friendly 7" color touchscreen interface, one-touch protocols, and automation readiness via the Twister II Robot (not included) ensure streamlined operation and scalability. Enhanced software tools include customizable export formats, ramp rate detection flexibility, and robust data recovery capabilities for over 100 runs. With a dynamic range extending up to nine logs and the sensitivity to detect down to a single copy, the ViiA 7 delivers high-quality, reproducible results instrument to instrument and run to run, empowering researchers to achieve more, faster. Please Note: We recommend performing a Dye Calibration for the Dye you plan on using for your application(s). Please refer to the Operator's Manual for instructions.
