Gilson PIPETMAN P1000 Pipette is a variable volume air displacement pipette for dispensing volumes up to 1000 ul for samples with precision accuracy and ease. Pipette Inspection and Recertification Checklist
- Thoroughly inspect and clean all internal components, identifying and replacing any damaged or compromised parts
- Replace all essential wear components, including O-rings, seals, tip holders, and friction rings, to ensure optimal performance
- Examine plunger and seal holders for signs of rust, wear, or damage, replacing components as necessary for operational integrity
- Verify that no leakage is present by aspirating a sample and observing for any fluid loss
- Confirm that the Mettler Toledo AB104-S balance is precisely calibrated for accurate pipette calibration measurements
- Perform a detailed gravimetric calibration, recording all findings in the comprehensive calibration report
- Ensure that all external parts are meticulously cleaned and free from any foreign contaminants
- Test the tip ejector for smooth and reliable operation, addressing any misalignment or obstruction
- Affix a dated calibration sticker to indicate recent and verified calibration
- Conduct a detailed cosmetic inspection, confirming that all surfaces and finishes meet established quality and aesthetic standards
